The Canadian Women’s Club of Chicago (CWCC) is a welcoming community that brings together Canadian women — and friends of Canada — living in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs.
We celebrate our shared heritage, build lasting friendships, and make the most of life in the amazing Windy City.

 

🌆 What We Do

Throughout the year, we host a wide range of events to connect, learn, and have fun — in both the city and suburbs.
Our activities include:

• Monthly luncheons featuring guest speakers or discussions

• Special celebrations such as Canadian Thanksgiving, our Holiday Party, and the Summer Pool Party

• Outings to restaurants, museums, and theatres

• Casual meet-ups like happy hours, Lunch Bunch gatherings, walking tours, and garden visits

• Book clubs — one daytime group in person and one evening group on Zoom​

 

🎄 A Proud Tradition

Each year, CWCC members decorate the Canadian Christmas Tree at the Museum of Science and Industry’s Christmas Around the World and Holidays of Light festival.
Our collection of more than 700 ornaments reflects the history, heritage, culture, and diversity of Canada — a highlight for visitors and members alike.

Members receive a monthly newsletter (except July and August) with event details, community news, and stories celebrating Canadian culture in Chicago.
We also share updates through email and on our Facebook page.
