Canadian Women’s Club of Chicago
The Canadian Women’s Club of Chicago (CWCC) formed in 1960 and is made up of a diverse group of women with a connection to the Chicago area. The objective of the CWCC is to promote friendship amongst women with common ties to Canada.
From September to June we hold monthly luncheon meetings that are informative and entertaining. These may take place in homes, restaurants or public places like museums or theatres. We try to provide events in the city and in the suburbs, since our members live all over the Chicagoland area. The club offers activity groups, including two book groups, and various social events throughout the year.
Members receive a monthly newsletter (except July and August) which highlights all our events and activities, and shares information on Canadian events in the area.
Each year the CWCC members are very proud to decorate the Canadian Christmas tree at the Museum of Science and Industry as part of their annual “Christmas Around the World and Holidays of Light” festival. We have a collection of over 700 decorations depict the history, heritage, culture and diversity of Canada.
